Starting from July 1, Germany will no longer consider countries with 50-200 COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people as risk zones, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Friday.
Axar.az reports that however, it will restrict travel to and from countries with high infection rates or those where coronavirus variants are particularly active.
"With the summer, hope and confidence are returning to Germany. In many places, the number of infections is falling and more and more citizens are vaccinated. After long months of lockdowns, we can look forward to more normalcy, and that also applies to travelling," Maas said.
