Claim: The US is withdrawing troops from the Middle East

The administration, led by US President Joe Biden, will withdraw most of its troops from the Middle East after Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports this claim was made by the Wall Street Journal.

It is said that the Pentagon will reduce the number of the Air Force by removing eight Patriot air defence and THAAD systems deployed in Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

A telephone conversation between Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin and Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on June 2 focused on the issue but was not made public.
