Flights from Russia to Turkey will resume on June 22

Air travel between Russia and Turkey will resume on June 22.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova said on Friday.

Golikova cited the improved measures Turkey’s government took to combat the spread of Covid-19 infections in the country.

Russia had suspended most flights to Turkey, a popular tourist destination for Russians, in April. Moscow said the high number of daily Covid-19 cases in Turkey was the reason for the suspension.
