Parliamentary elections in Armenia were held in accordance with the Constitution and the Election Code.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from the head of the CIS observation mission Ilhom Nematov at a press conference today.
According to him, the mission began monitoring on May 31:
"The current Election Code of Armenia allows for free and open voting."
He said members of the mission visited more than 700 polling stations during the election.
"The election process was conducted in accordance with the law and the requirements of the Election Code. Observers did not find any serious irregularities that could cast doubt on the results. The election commissions ensured that the elections were held at a high level."
Observers said the elections were objective and transparent.
