Putin told Merkel about his meeting with Biden

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Kremlin's press service.

During the conversation, the sides stressed the importance of preserving historical monuments related to the tragic events of World War II.

Putin also briefed Merkel on the main results of the Russia-US summit in Geneva on June 16.
