Turkey has made the first statement regarding the firing of a British patrol ship in the Black Sea on a British destroyer Defender.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Hulusi Akar, Minister of National Defense of the brotherly country.

He said that there were statements from both Russia and the United Kingdom on the subject, adding that these statements were different and were being investigated.

It was noted that the topic will become clearer in the coming hours.

The Russian military has reportedly fired warning shots at a British minesweeper defender, near the Crimean peninsula. Britain said no shots were fired at Defender.
