A military plane crashed in the Philippines.

Axar.az reports that the Chief of General Staff of the Philippines, General Sirilito Sobehana, said that the military plane crashed while trying to land on the island of Holo in Sulu province.

Investigations are underway at the scene.

At least 17 people were killed and 40 were injured when a C-130 plane carrying 92 people, including three pilots and five other crew members, crashed.

The statement came from the country's Defense Minister.

Rescuers found 29 bodies at the crash site.

Another 17 people are reported missing. The number of injured reached 50 people.
