A state of emergency has been declared in New York

The United States has declared a state of emergency in New York.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from state Governor Andrew Cuomo.

He said the reason for declaring a state of emergency was an increase in gun-related crimes in the state.

Cuomo said that the use of firearms has led to a crisis in public health.

"This event will allow us to use the necessary resources and attention to overcome this crisis."
