Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports that the leaders discussed relations between the two countries, regional issues and prospects for strengthening joint economic cooperation.

Conservative Seyed Ibrahim Raisi won the last presidential election in Iran on June 19. His inauguration is scheduled for early August.
