The UN is concerned about the growing violence in Syria

The United Nations (UN) is deeply concerned about the growing violence in northwestern Syria.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from UN Under-Secretary-General Farhan Haq.

"The ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of civilians, including many women and children, in recent weeks. We urge the parties to take all necessary measures to prevent harm to civilians," Haq said.
