Military coup in Tunisia? - Urgent call from the UN

We call on all parties to exercise restraint, refrain from violence, maintain stability and resolve all differences through dialogue.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from UN Under-Secretary-General Farhan Hak, speaking about the latest political developments in Tunisia.

Asked whether the crisis in Tunisia was a coup, Hak said:

"We will continue to monitor the situation and keep in touch with our Tunisian counterparts. We hope that the situation will remain stable."
