Washington is trying to sever ties with Russia by putting pressure on the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev.

"The United States, in coordination with the members of the European Union, continues to increase pressure on the members of the CIS, to break the centuries-old ties between our peoples, to falsify our common history of victory. We see how dangerous this division is in the example of Georgia and Ukraine. In these countries, there is an unstable political and social situation, a decline in living standards," he said.
