Turkey will not remain silent about Tunisia - Kurt

Turkey maintains its position and tries to overcome the crisis with the least damage and the worst-case scenario.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish political expert Veysel Kurt on the latest political developments in Tunisia.

"This attitude is correct, both in principle and in terms of regional vision and political interests. Therefore, under the current circumstances, Turkey will continue to work to reduce the crisis, but will not remain silent if the process turns into an open coup or civil war or threatens regional interests." - said Kurt.

In a statement on the political process in Tunisia, Ankara said it supported democracy and did not unequivocally welcome the dissolution of parliament.
