Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has responded to Russian President Vladimir Putin's article on Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky called Kyivan Rus' state the mother of Ukrainian history. He said that Ukraine is the successor of one of the most powerful states in medieval Europe:

"There is no need to confirm this with historical treatises and articles. Because our evidence is not on paper, but on metal and stones. Not in myths and legends, but in our cities and streets.”
