Staff changes in the Ukrainian Armed Forces are aimed at rejuvenating the army.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexei Danilov.

Danilov stressed that all the newly appointed leaders of the Defense Ministry are people with military education:

"This is a very important thing for us. Moreover, all of them have crossed the front and all the personnel are reliable. There is not a single "backline" person. The president will support young colonels, lieutenant colonels and majors for our development."

It should be noted that the head of the "Northern" operational command Valery Zaluzhniy has been appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Tatiana Ostashenko has been appointed commander of the medical forces.
