Two more people were killed in a fire in Turkey.

Axar.az reports that two firefighters died in the Manavgat district of Antalya, and four people were hospitalized with smoke poisoning.

Yesterday, the Turkish Minister of Forestry and Agriculture announced that three people had died in a fire in Manavgat and one in Marmaris. Thus, the number of people killed in fires in Turkey has reached six.

Of the 410 people treated in hospitals, more than 400 have been released.

This was stated by Turkish Health Minister Fakhraddin Goja

The Minister noted that 160 people were injured as a result of forest fires in Marmaris and Bodrum. The treatment of 159 of them has already been completed.

Large-scale measures are being taken in connection with the fire in the Bodrum region of Turkey's Mugla province.

Currently, air and ground firefighting is being carried out in the region to prevent the spread of fire to settlements. Evacuation of tourists from hotels in the region has begun.

91 out of 101 fires in Turkey have been brought under control.

The statement came from Turkish Minister of Forestry and Agriculture Bekir Pakdemirli.
