A number of anti-Russian groups are trying to exclude Russia from the Council of Europe.

Axar.az reports that he statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

She noted that the most important problem in the Council of Europe is the politicization of all issues by anti-Russian groups:

"Unfortunately, we often see how all the issues discussed with Russia are politicized in this context. These groups do not try to interact with Moscow to solve the existing problems."
