15 forest fires continue - Erdogan

It is the 8th day of the fires and it is continuing violently. Those staying in hotels were evacuated.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"There have been evacuation operations at sea and on land. There has been an increase in forest fires this year. There have been 187 fires in Turkey over the past eight days. Fifteen of these fires are ongoing, some under control," Erdogan said.
