Last week, at least 210 people were killed in a series of attacks on civilians by militants of the Oromo Salvation Army separatist group in western Ethiopia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission.

The commission said militants attacked residents of Jida Kiremu in western Oromia province on August 18, killing 150 people. The next day, militants launched a new offensive in the area, killing another 60 people. It is stressed that the attacks of the militants are ethnic in nature.
