"West-2021" military exercises continue in Russia

Military exercises under the name "West-2021" continue at the Mulino landfill in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region.

Axar.az reports that along with Russia, servicemen from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, India and Mongolia are taking part in the exercises. Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan even went to Russia to watch the exercises.

The Armenian Defense Ministry's statement on this attracted attention. The Defense Ministry said the exercises were based on "combat experience" in Syria and Karabakh.

It is questionable on what basis the "war experience" based on the fact that 40 percent of the Armenian army's personnel and 85 percent of its military equipment were destroyed in 44 days.
