Putin: The US and NATO allies run away from Afghanistan

The situation in Afghanistan deteriorated after US and NATO allies rushed to withdraw – also can be called "run away" – from the country.

Axar.az reports that the Russian President said while speaking about Afghanistan at the CSTO meeting in a video format.

"Given the serious risks in connection with the situation in Afghanistan, the CSTO has to implement a common and agreed line," he said.

On September 14, Vladimir Putin and Pakistani PM Imran Khan discussed the situation in Afghanistan.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will have to spend "a few days" in self-isolation after dozens of people in his entourage fell ill with COVID-19. Therefore, he joined the CSTO meeting in a video format.
