Heavy words from Paris to the United States

Allegations that preliminary discussions on submarine agreements between Washington and Paris are false.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.

"This agreement showed hypocrisy, disrespect and lies. They will not treat an ally like this. They will not hide or disrespect each other in such relations," Drian said.

He noted that for the first time in history, the ambassador to the United States was recalled for consultations:

"We are facing a serious crisis in our relations with Washington. This shows the depth of the crisis in our relations. We accept the formation of a new strategy in the Indo-Pacific region initiated by the United States. This is a strategy of sharp confrontation from a military point of view."

Australia has withdrawn from a $ 90 billion submarine deal with France, and the United States and Britain have signed an AUCUS agreement. This provoked strong protests from France, and Paris recalled its ambassadors to the United States and Australia.
