Uzbek leader called on UN for Afghanistan

The UN must strengthen its role in resolving the political situation in Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

"I am convinced that the role of the United Nations in Afghanistan should be strengthened and it should be heard louder than ever," said the Uzbek leader.

He also stressed that Afghanistan is an integral part of Central Asia.
