US: Russia must increase supplies from Ukraine

The US State Department has demanded Russia to increase gas supplies to Ukraine as soon as possible.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Amos Hochstein, the US State Department's chief advisor on energy security. According to him, Russia has previously stated that it is able to supply gas to Europe.

"There are already pipelines in Ukraine with sufficient capacity," he said. “Russia must increase supplies quickly through the territory of Ukraine”.
