Erdogan discussed the Caucasus with Garibashvili in the US

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the United States.

Axar.az reports this information was spread by Garibashvili's press service. The main topic of discussion at the meeting was the situation in the South Caucasus.

Garibashvili said Georgia was ready to continue working for long-term peace and stability in the Caucasus region.

The parties also touched upon the agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the return of 15 Armenian captives in exchange for the exchange of mine maps obtained in June. Both leaders said the exchange was a good basis for cooperation between the neighbours.
