The Taliban wants a place in the UN

Afghanistan's interim government may seek help from close countries to join the United Nations.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of the Interim Government of Afghanistan Zabiullah Mujahid.

"Yes, why not? Other countries close to us, such as Qatar and other countries that support us in difficult times, can play a mediating role between us and help us join the UN. We welcome any state that can help us in this work" Mujahid said.
