The Taliban has deployed special forces along the border

The Taliban has deployed tens of thousands of special forces in the Takhar province on the border with Tajikistan.

Axar.az reports that Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid shared this on his Twitter page.

He said that special forces were sent to the region to carry out the operation called "Mansuri".

Mujahid said the operation was aimed at eliminating potential threats.
