Challenges created by China's growth potential and action against them will be included in NATO's new strategic concept.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
"NATO is a union of North America and Europe. The region is facing global challenges such as terrorism and cybersecurity, as well as China's rise. That is why the work goes on to strengthen our collective defence. We can say that China's rise is already affecting our security. China is approaching us. We see them in the Arctic, in cyberspace. We see that they are investing heavily in the extremely important infrastructure of our countries. In addition, they have many long-range weapons that will hit all NATO countries. They are building a lot of mines for long-range intercontinental ballistic missiles."
