The US stated on the proposal to create a "3 + 3"

The countries of the South Caucasus must strengthen regional cooperation.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who is on an official visit to Georgia.

He also commented on the 3 + 3 cooperation format: "It would be better for Russia, which occupies 20 per cent of Georgia's territory, to fulfil its obligations under the 2008 ceasefire agreement before talking about any cooperation format."
