Berdimuhamedov met with Alakbarov: New project

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has met with Lukoil CEO Vahid Alakbarov.

Axar.az reports this information was spread by TDH agency. The sides discussed the implementation of projects in the Caspian Sea. During the meeting, Alakbarov briefed Berdimuhamedov on Lukoil's activities in Turkmenistan. He assured Berdimuhamedov that the company will continue to take responsibility for its obligations.

Earlier, it was reported that Lukoil would operate the Dostlug field in the Caspian Sea.

On January 21 this year, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan signed an intergovernmental memorandum on the joint development of this field with 50 million tons of oil reserves.
