Purchase of F-16s from the US - Akar

The procedure for purchasing F-16s from the United States has begun.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

"Technical work has begun on the purchase of F-16s. We are watching this process. We must not forget that the strengthening of Turkey means an increase in NATO's defence capabilities. Turkey's borders are the borders of the alliance," he said.
