A Panamanian-flagged container ship has been attacked in the Gulf of Guinea.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the maritime security portal Dryad Global.

It was reported that the container ship MSC LUCIA was hijacked by an unknown number of pirates 86 nautical miles southwest of the Agbami oil terminal. A warship headed for the scene.

"Ships passing through this zone are advised to be careful," the portal said.
