The best format for resolving all issues related to the opening of transport and communication lines in the South Caucasus, including the dispute over the Zangazur corridor, is a tripartite working group established with the participation of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia.

The statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

"The optimal format for the development of transport and communications in the region is a tripartite working group established on January 11 under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia. Eight meetings of this mechanism have already been held. All parties appreciate the activities of the group," Zakharova said.
