Russia's new coronavirus case count reaches record low

Russia has documented 33,996 new cases, the lowest figure since October 19, citing the country's operational headquarters.

Axar.az reports that "The confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection reach 33,996 in 85 regions, including 2,024 (6%) active cases without clinical manifestations," the structure said in a statement.

Meanwhile, some 1,243 patients have succumbed to the deadly pathogen over the past day, taking the overall death toll to 266,579.

The number of recoveries has reached 8,089,694 after 36,051 people were discharged from hospitals.
