Statement from the United States on oil prices

The United States does not expect a sharp drop in oil prices but hopes that prices will stabilize and fall.

The statement came from Energy Minister Jennifer Greenholm.

"We hope that prices will stabilize and begin to fall. We do not say that there will be any dramatic difference. We want to see an increase in supply, both domestically and globally, to reduce retail pressure," Greenholm said. noted.
