Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s de facto ruler, will visit Turkey for talks with President Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az reports this was stated by the Turkish Presidency, as the regional rivals try to repair frayed ties.

The meeting on Wednesday will mark the highest-level interaction in years between the two countries which have backed opposing sides in the Libyan conflict and sparred on other regional issues.

“Bilateral relations will be reviewed with all its dimensions, and steps to improve relations will be discussed,” the Turkish presidency said in a statement on Tuesday.

Regional and international issues will also figure in the talks, it added.
