Turkmenistan has applied for membership in the WTO

Turkmenistan has applied for membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Axar.az reports the statement came from WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iveala on Twitter.

It should be noted that Turkmenistan was the last former Soviet republic to establish official relations with the WTO. Official Ashgabat received observer status in the WTO on July 22, 2020.
