Erdogan to Russia: We are ready to be a mediator

Turkey is ready to mediate between Russia and Ukraine for peace in the region.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"We are for peace in the region. We have repeatedly discussed this issue with friendly Russia, and especially with Mr Putin. We are ready to negotiate with Ukraine and Putin as mediators. We would like to take part in solving this problem, "Erdogan told reporters on the plane returning from Turkmenistan.
