NATO has consistently carried out the largest expansion of its overall defense system since the Cold War.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"Fighting teams have been deployed in the Baltic states and Poland. We have strengthened our presence both at sea and in the air. We also work closely with allies in the exercises. These exercises are aimed at preventing any threat, especially in the eastern flank of the alliance - the Baltic region," Stoltenberg said.
