A magnitude 5.4 earthquake shook the coast of Wakayama prefecture in southwestern Japan.
Axar.az reports the quake, at a depth of 20 kilometres from the Kiisuido Strait, was felt in Mie, Hyogo, Tokushima and Kagawa.
No casualties or damage were reported. No tsunami alert was issued in the area.
