UAE buys 80 fighters from France - Contract

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France have signed an agreement on the purchase of 80 Rafale fighters and 12 multi-role Caracal helicopters.

Axar.az reports that "Apart from the presence of three French military bases in the UAE, mutual trust is reflected in the purchase of 80 Rafale fighters, 12 Caracal helicopters and spare parts," the statement said.

The agreement was signed during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Dubai.

Note that this is the largest order since Rafale was put into operation in 2004.
