With the participation of Erdogan, Turkey signed agreement

Turkey's first zinc smelter, built in Siirt with an investment of $ 102 million, was put into operation with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az reports that the Turkey-Qatar Linear Metal Zinc Production Facility will produce Turkey's first zinc metal ingots.

The facility will meet 40 percent of the country's needs.

It should be noted that Turkey currently imports 250,000-300,000 tons of zinc a year. It costs at least $ 1 billion a year.
