The US tried to convince the EU of Russian aggression

The United States has spent weeks in intelligence-backed diplomatic activity to convince European countries of Russia's aggression against Ukraine. However, some European allies did not believe in the reality of such a threat.

Axar.az reports that, according to the newspaper, US efforts are aimed at convincing sceptical countries, including Germany, that Russia will soon send troops to Ukraine.

The United States has disseminated material on "alleged Kremlin intentions" to 29 NATO allies in bilateral and collective meetings and through EU diplomatic channels. The transfer of classified information began before a meeting of NATO ministers in November, where, among other issues, the issue of Ukraine was widely discussed.
