I promised to pray in Shusha - Sanjar

The victory of Karabakh is the greatest victory of the Turkic world after the Turkish War of Independence. It is a victory not only for Azerbaijan but also for the Turkic world.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Turkish-born US scientist, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Professor Aziz Sanjar.

He said he watched the Karabakh war closely for 44 days.

"Shusha is the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. I think that for historical reasons it will be the cultural capital of the whole Turkic world. I promised to go to Shusha and pray. Thankfully, I was able to fulfil this dream."
