Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan hold talks in Nur-Sultan

The official ceremony of the meeting of the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was held in Akorda Residence on December 6.

Axar.az reports that during the talks, the Presidents discussed a broad range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural, humanitarian spheres and exchanged views about regional and international issues.

President Tokayev congratulated President Mirziyoyev with re-election, underscored the importance of his state visit to Kazakhstan.

The leader of Uzbekistan took note of the intensive dynamics of relations of friendship and good neighbourhood between two states.

"Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are natural economic partners. Our economies do not compete but supplement each other. Bilateral trade is growing. The bilateral trade is expected to reach a record $4 billion this year. The volume of ground and railway transportation is growing. Flights were restarted, new routes are launched. Our leading companies deepen cooperation. The number of joint ventures and projects grew 6 times almost in all economic sectors for the last several years," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
