Russia's actions against its neighbors will have serious consequences.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

"Russia must reduce tensions on the Ukrainian border and respect the sovereignty of neighboring countries. Otherwise, the European Union will not be satisfied with the existing sanctions, but will adopt sanctions in new areas, "Leyen said.

He added that good relations between the EU and Moscow are possible only if Russia does not threaten its neighbors.
