Zelensky announced the number of casualties in the Donbas

Ukraine lost about 15,000 people during the conflict in the Donbas.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.

"One and a half million people were forced to leave their homes and become IDPs. Ukraine is ready to make all necessary efforts to ensure lasting peace in the Donbas. Over the years, the Ukrainian side has offered Russia many options for resolving the conflict and has repeatedly tried to resume talks. "If we start counting those talks, this interview will become a thick book," Zelensky said.
