The Taliban denied the UN

The Taliban government has denied UN reports that millions of people are suffering from hunger in Afghanistan.

Axar.az reports the statement came from Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan Abdul Salam Hanafi.

"I do not agree with this information of the World Food Program, and the Afghan people believe that it is a lie. No one has starved to death in Afghanistan yet, ”Hanafi said.

In early December, the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent stressed the importance of providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.
