Russia does not accept the appearance of the alliance on its borders, it is a real red line.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a statement on Ukraine's NATO membership opportunities.

"Even if Ukraine is not a member of NATO, the appearance of weapons and US military bases in the Sea of Azov is the second red line," Lavrov said.
