Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has turned down a job offer from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from DPA.

"Merkel called the UN Secretary-General and thanked him and said she would not accept the offer," the agency said.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has invited former German Chancellor Angela Merkel to chair the organization's High-Level Advisory Body on Global Public Welfare.
